Winter is over, school sports are coming to a close, and summer is nearly here.
Most of us spend more time outdoors and get more exercise in warmer weather.

Retailers know this too, and they offer sales and discounts on athletic gear and shoes this time of year. Plus, retailers want to get rid of the last season’s inventory by the end of the summer.
Keep an eye out for sales, and shop now for the best selection—you generally can save anywhere from 30 to 60% on athletic shoes and apparel. If you can’t buy now, watch for additional sales when the seasons change again.

The newly built deck above overlooks a leafy park. Large enough to accomodate many guess, it offers two steps with subtle under lighting down to the lawn, where more guests can assemble.
One of the best ways to expand your living space is to make your patio and deck more a part of your home. If you're building outside, it's going to be less expensive. Building an outdoor living space is the most affordable way to expand your home.
When you add rooms inside your home, you are adding insulation, drywall, flooring, wiring, etc. If you expand your outdoor living space, with a deck, you don't have to do that extra work. When building a deck or expanding your current one, consider some of the new essentials: built-in furniture, built-in barbecue, sinks and refrigerators, designed and co-ordinated landscaping. The only limiting factors are your budget and imagination.
When you are clipping outdoor-living ideas from magazines, though, pass over one feature often pictured: on open fire pit, outdoor fireplace, or clay firepot chimenea. You can buy some of these at retail outlets in the city, but they are't for use in Toronto. Open-air burning in Toronto is against the Fire Code, unless used to cook food on a grill or barbecue, and unless the fire is small, confined, and supervised at all times.
