Poinsettia Fun Facts

Did you know that the poinsettia's main attraction is not its flowers, but its leaves? The flowers of the plant are the yellow clustered buds in the center. The coloured leafy parts are actually bracts or modified leaves.

The poinsettia can reach heights of 12 feet with leaves measuring six to eight inches across.

It is not poisonous - the plant has been tested repeatedly and has been proven to be not poisonous by the National Poison Control Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

When cared for properly, poinsettias usually will outlast your desire to keep them!
