“HomeMasons has great enthusiasm for details and an eye for color and texture to make a space personal and enjoyable. Each time we walk into our new room it really feels like it was made for us and no one else.”

Fabulous Wine Cellar

Sumptuous Small Project

Sound like fun to store and display 100 cases of wine in your home? We created this space in Keith and Tammy Glowacki’s Riverlake Colonies home to do just that, first-class!

This awesome wine cellar, carved-out of a drab utility / laundry room, not only meets the basic needs of proper conditioned storage, but also adjoins and flows into an enhanced, “Napa-style” dining room transformation.

The concept behind the HomeMasons design was driven by the idea of a grotto, or cave… articulated to appear sculpted into little niches, and capped with a groin-vaulted ceiling.

Richness and authenticity of materials appropriately compliment the fabulous bottled treasures within – from silky burnished Venetian plaster walls, to rustic patterned autumn slate wainscoting and flooring. The tasting / corkage niche is fitted with a Burgundy stone top and re-milled antique oak storage bins. The same oak was used to craft a custom arched entry door, with insulated glass to become the focal point of the dining room.

If the pictures are not enough to describe the result, self-described “serial remodeler” Tammy happily commented about her experience, “HomeMasons has great enthusiasm for details and an eye for color and texture to make a space personal and enjoyable.  Each time we walk into our new room it really feels like it was made for us and no one else.”

If the pictures are not enough to describe the result, self-described “serial remodeler” Tammy happily commented about her experience, “….At this writing, we’re at it again. The demolition hammers are about to fly in the family room. The creative relationship between the Glowackis and HomeMasons continues!"
