In a proud statement issued from their company headquarters, New Windows for America announced that 2010 is the 10th anniversary of the founding of their business.
The company started back in 2000, the same year discoveries of mad cow disease prompted fear and panic across Europe.
Election day 2000 ended with neither candidate being president-elect. Short of electorial votes; both candidates focused on Georg W. Bush slim lead over Al Gore in Florida. A margin of less than 1,300 votes prompted an automatic recount in the Sunshine State. After five weeks of tallies, re-tallies, and law suits the Florida vote hung on which way officials caounted chads. On December 12 the U.S. Supreme Court blocked further recounting of the ballots and Gore conceded defeat.
What Else happened in 2000?

- Charles Shulz, creator of the comic "Peanuts" died at age 77.
- Steve Allen, Victor Borge, Walter Matthau, and famous 1930s and '40s actresss Hedy Lamaar also passed.
- Bridgestone/Firestone recalled 6.5 million tires due to safety issues.
- Elian Gonzalez returned with his father to Cuba
- 113 perished when a Concorde crashed near Paris
Yes, when you think about it, things have changed a lot in 10 years. But, after all this time there are some things which have remained the same. One good thing is that New Windows for America is still around and thriving after 10 years of hard work and dedication by everyone involved...and most importantly caring about customers who helped us reach this milestone.
